Man in court over Easter stab­bing

A MAN ac­cused of stab­bing a vic­tim in the stom­ach over Easter week­end, which shocked neigh­bours in Hayes has en­tered pleas to three charges.

Bhupin­der Su­man, 40, of Se­lan Gar­dens, Hayes, pleaded not guilty to wound­ing with in­tent and un­law­ful wound­ing, but pleaded guilty to threat­en­ing a per­son with an of­fen­sive weapon in a pub­lic place at Isle­worth Crown Court on Mon­day.

He will face trial at the same court on Au­gust 30.

Metropoli­tan Po­lice of­fi­cers were called at 6.35pm on Satur­day March 26 to Se­lan Gar­dens, Hayes, where a 36-year-old man was found with a stab wound to his ab­domen.

He was taken to hospi­tal by Lon­don Am­bu­lance Ser­vice (LAS) suf­fer­ing se­ri­ous in­juries, but was later dis­charged.

Su­man was orig­i­nally charged with one of­fence of griev­ous bod­ily harm with in­tent and one of­fence of threat­en­ing a per­son with an of­fen­sive weapon in a pub­lic place, on Mon­day March 28.

The al­leged of­fence left many neigh­bours who saw the af­ter­math of the in­ci­dent feel­ing ‘un­safe’.
