First play takes to the stage
AN autistic actor, writer, and playwright is putting on his play The Curse of Lover’s Folly about an autistic boy with mental health problems.
Kevin Palmer has also set up a charity, called Aspire Amateur Dramatic Society who are now set to perform their first play.
The group aims to educate and raise awareness about autism, mental health problems and other disabilities, tackling issues facing people with these conditions and try to perform new and original plays that have never been, or rarely been performed before.
The society has Mina Anwar who played Constable Habib in the Thin Blue Line as its patron.
The Curse of Lover’s Folly is on Saturday at
Ruislip Manor Methodist Church, Torrington Road, Ruislip and Sunday at The Pumphouse Theatre, Local Board Road, Watford. Both nights at 7.45pm.
