First play takes to the stage

AN autis­tic ac­tor, writer, and play­wright is putting on his play The Curse of Lover’s Folly about an autis­tic boy with men­tal health prob­lems.

Kevin Palmer has also set up a char­ity, called As­pire Am­a­teur Dra­matic So­ci­ety who are now set to per­form their first play.

The group aims to ed­u­cate and raise aware­ness about autism, men­tal health prob­lems and other dis­abil­i­ties, tack­ling is­sues fac­ing peo­ple with th­ese con­di­tions and try to per­form new and orig­i­nal plays that have never been, or rarely been per­formed be­fore.

The so­ci­ety has Mina An­war who played Con­sta­ble Habib in the Thin Blue Line as its pa­tron.

The Curse of Lover’s Folly is on Satur­day at

Ruislip Manor Methodist Church, Tor­ring­ton Road, Ruislip and Sun­day at The Pump­house The­atre, Lo­cal Board Road, Wat­ford. Both nights at 7.45pm.
