Happy to support doctors’ actions

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION -

I WOULD like it put on record that I endorse the stance of the junior doctors.

I, together with others joined them on their stall in Hayes town on Wednesday and am proud of the overwhelming support they got from the residents who stopped to talk to them and took their literature explaining the rationale of the reason for them striking.

As many know I am awaiting an operation and if it’s delayed because of the strike then I am fine with that.

I don’t want an operation where the consultant does the main work then may hand over the closing up to a doctor who may be exhausted from working long hours without a break.

The NHS is wonderful and those who work for it should be appreciated and treasured not treated appallingly by the government and that arrogant individual Jeremy Hunt.
