Hislop’s remarks a low blow to Boris
I AM a devotee of the TV programme ‘Have I Got News For You ?” and its regular participant Ian Hislop.
However, I thought that Hislop’s disparaging remarks concerning Boris Johnson in the latest programme were not only cheap and ill conceived, but also inaccurate and an insult to the electors of Uxbridge and South Ruislip Constituency, who voted for Boris to be their MP.
I know Boris well enough to state that he is intelligent and educated; you only have to read his publications, books etc to realise this is the case!
Ian Hislop is clever, witty and generally amusing but he does himself no credit to try to belittle someone as accomplished and popular as Boris Johnson for no reason other than to ‘knock’ a public figure and obtain a tawdry reaction.
