Aldi offers shoppers second store

-

THE second Aldi supermarket has opened in Hillingdon borough in six weeks, with a new store opening it’s doors in Eastcote.

The latest shop which opened at Field End Road on Thursday last week in a ‘city store’ format, was marked with a ribbon cutting ceremony by new store manager, Stephen Jones.

The store comes as part of significant expansion in the area throughout 2016, replacing previous food store Budgens.

Aldi say the city store is designed to appeal to the needs of tshoppers living and working in and around Eastcote.

As well as the in-store bakery, it offers shoppers a wider range of ‘Food-toGo’ products - perfect for those popping in for their lunch whilst at work.

Stephen Jones, Aldi Store Manager, said: “It was great to meet our new customers this morning, and we hope they enjoy their new store.

“We’ve had some great feedback about our opening week offers, and we look forward to meeting more customers in the coming months.”

The recently opened nearby Aldi in South Ruislip, was so in demand that traffic ‘logjammed’ as customers queued up to visit the new store.

Shoppers can now also benefit from a wide variety of products, including a range of fresh produce plus Aldi’s famous weekly ‘Specialbuys’.

‘Specialbuys’ occur every Thursday and Sunday and offer customers a range of products from gardening products to electrical items offering customers greater shopping choice and convenience.

The store has created over 60 jobs for members of the local community, and Aldi is still looking to fill a number of vacancies including Deputy Store Managers, Store Assistants and Caretakers.
