One team included Uxbridge-based Gibbs Gillespie, one of the top fundraisers for the event, which raised £700 in sponsorship, with Brunel-based Carole Mullins raising a further £493.

Entrants were pelted with paint from head-totoe as they whizzed around the on-campus course, passing g through four ‘colourr stations’ locatedd along the route, , manned by enthusiastic paintthrow ing volunteers.

Sam Heggie, PR and marketing manager at Michael Sobell Hospice, said: “Thank you to everyone who took part, or who volunteered on the day – we hope you all enjoyed it.

“If every participant can now do a lastminute push to get sponsorship money in to us, this will really make a difference to our overall fundraising target and, in turn, help support local people when they need it most.”

Michael Sobell Hospice needs to raise more than £1.6million this year to ensure the future funding of hospice care in the local area.
