Teen crit­i­cal after be­ing hit by BMW

A TEENAGER has been crit­i­cally in­jured after he was struck by a BMW in Uxbridge on Fri­day night.

The 15-year-old was knocked un­con­scious on the south­bound car­riage­way of Hilling­don Road near to the junc­tion with Manor Waye, just be­fore 11pm.

He is now be­ing treated at a cen­tral Lon­don hospi­tal where he is be­lieved to re­main in a crit­i­cal but sta­ble con­di­tion.

The collision in­volved a white BMW which stopped at the scene. Po­lice and Lon­don Am­bu­lance Ser­vice at­tended.

De­tec­tives are now ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses and are hope­ful some­one has in­for­ma­tion which will be of im­por­tance.

DC Char­lie Pulling, from the Se­ri­ous Collision In­ves­ti­ga­tion Unit based at Alper­ton, said: “This is a dual car­riage­way and there were a num­ber of other road users who were in the vicin­ity at the time of the in­ci­dent. A num­ber of peo­ple also came to the as­sis­tance of the vic­tim.

“I am ap­peal­ing to any­one who may have seen the collision or the events lead­ing up to it, to please come for­ward and as­sist us with our en­quires.”

On June 15 a driver was left in a crit­i­cal con­di­tion fol­low­ing a crash near North­wick Park Hospi­tal round­about.
