Where was bunting for the Queen?

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION - DIANNE LODGE Address withheld

I WAS shocked to find that when looking for bunting for our Queen’s 90th birthday party, that it was scarce in Uxbridge.

In fact there were not any shops decorated or selling anything to celebrate her birthday.

Even in the Pavilions not having any decorations. I had to go to several shops to pick up single items, and even that was difficult. When the nation is celebrating our Queen’s birthday, how is it that Uxbridge can forget it?

I also went into our local Sainsbury’s and they too had not got any decorations up, or even selling anything red, white and blue. You would think they would have made an effort with flowers!

Our Queen has served our county well for the last 64 years and still works a 40 hour week, who of us could boast of that?

We have much to thank her for, what a blessing she has been to our land, yet in our shops and precincts it has been completely by-passed. Shame on you all.
