Planners give 85-home plan the green light
A PLANNING application has been granted for 85 homes as part of the St Andrew’s Park development in Uxbridge.
The new homes will form part of the 1,300 home plan on the former RAF Uxbridge site, just off Hillingdon Road.
Managing director at developers St Modwen Homes Dave Smith said: “These new homes at St Andrew’s Park represent an important step for us as a housebuilder, only being our second site in Greater London and is the first time we will build family houses here.
“We’ve worked very closely with our architects to ensure our homes at St Andrew’s Park really stand out from others in the local area.”
More than 100 homes and the John Locke Academy primary school are already finished and work is expected to start on 240 apartments this summer.
Work on the newly approved 85 homes is set to start in the coming months with the first show home up and running by the end of the year.
Regional director at St Modwen, Tim Seddon, said: “Each aspect of the new development adds significantly to the overall strength of the project, reinforcing benefits of regeneration to Uxbridge’s existing and growing community.”
