Man pleads not guilty to shopkeeper GBH
A 32-YEAR-OLD man from Ruislip has pleaded not guilty to causing serious injuries to an Uxbridge shopkeeper who was hospitalised for a week after allegedly being attacked.
John Donovan appeared at Isleworth Crown Court on Thursday July 7 and denied causing grievous bodily harm to the unnamed 56-year-old victim.
The shopkeeper suffered head and facial injures during the reported attack outside a parade of shops in Moorfield Road, Cowley, on Monday June 6. Police were called to reports of an assault shortly after 8.15pm and the shopkeeper was taken to a west London hospital by London Ambulance Service for treatment for serious head and facial injuries.
The incident left a parade of shops in Cowley cordoned off by police and the shopkeeper remained in hospital more than a week later.
Donovan’s case has been placed into the list to take place in the two weeks after November 28.
