Sad to see historic pub name gone

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION -

I AM beginning to suspect that Harrow Council has no regard for local heritage or some of the people whose roots are deeply embedded here! It was dismaying enough, when our famous John Lyon Pub (named after John Lyon School) became – the Mumbai Junction. If my memory serves me well (and I know it does) one would expect to find Mumbai in India! Myself, and like minded locals, wonder how our landmarks are being given these totally inappropriate names? MRS MTB EARL Hamilton Crescent Harrow
