Wildlife pictures to ease the pain

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION - Mrs S Betteridge Hayes Have you taken photographs from around the Uxbridge area that should be shared with our readers? Send them to ros.collins@ trinitymirror.com

I’M writing this short letter to thank you all ever so much for sharing my photos in your paper.

I suffer from a chronic pain syndrome (fibromyalgia).

If I have a fairly better day I’ll take my camera out with me on a slow short walk to one of my favourite green spots, in which I enjoy sitting.

Hayes has some of the loveliest hidden green spaces if you know where to look.

Some days I’m in too much pain to venture out so I just sit in my garden waiting for the wildlife to show up. Taking photographs helps me cope with each painful moment of each day, so when I see any of my photographs in the Gazette it fills me with pride and joy and it makes my day.

It’s so worth all that pain from walking to and back from any of my green havens. I just wish more people would send in their photos for us all to enjoy.

A very big thank you.
