Making their feelings known
BORIS Johnson has always been London’s favourite blond – until recent political events, that is.
After shying away from the Prime Ministerial role and bowing out from the Conservative Party leadership, there was a notable dive in the Eton educated former Mayor’s popularity.
Whether it was Theresa May’s stinging words about his negotiation abilities or the internet’s stinging reaction to his speeches, the post-Brexit mockery hasn’t quite finished and it can’t be an easy time for the Uxbridge and South Ruislip MP.
It was no wonder he was seen to look lost and confused on his first day after being appointed as Foreign Secretary in May’s new Tory cabinet, another political turn which saw him become the subject of many political cartoons. But it looks like some politically aggravated Londoners couldn’t hold back after the recent events, after this blue plaque appeared outside the MP’s north London home, painting him in a less complimentary light than what is usually written to commemorate well known figures. It reads: “BOJO, destroyer of cosmopolitan unity & passer of buck lives here.”
