Local bands playing to raise funds for Jess
LOCAL music acts are taking to the stage on Sunday to help raise funds for an eight-year-old girl suffering from a rare childhood cancer.
Jess Shepherd from Harefield was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when she was just three. After fighting it on several occasions it has now returned for the fourth time and the brave youngster needs urgent treatment in America.
Harefield United Football Club is hosting what has become colloquially known as ‘Harestock’ to raise funds for flights, treatment and living arrangements while Jess undergoes treatment.
Ten local bands and musicians will entertain at the club in Breakspeare Road, Harefield, from 11am offering a great day of music and fun.
The £10 entry fee goes directly towards Jess’s fund.
The usual festival fare of beers and burgers will be on sale as well as a few pleasant surprises.
Buy your tickets on the day or via the football club, the Harefield Pub or from Prebooc Cabs on Harvil Road, Harefield. Prebooc Cabs (01895 825825) are running extra cheap rates for fares going to and from ‘Harestock’ and £1 from each fare is going straight to Jess’s fund.
