Change not always for the better

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION -

AS most of us would be aware, change/progress, go hand in hand. If locals of even 40 years ago were told that banana trees grow in front gardens (alien to this country) at the side of a driveway or in a small back garden they would think themselves in Kew Gardens.

Newcomers, to this country should be taught the old adage – when in Rome, do as the Romans do!

Unfortunately we are surrounded by people, whose last consideration, is their neighbours!

In the past/your neighbours were your first consideration, so we could live in peace. It is a fashion that needs to come back.
