Jail for drug dealer

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

A DRUG dealer has been jailed for six months after being caught following a police chase in Harrow.

Munear Abdelbaki was spotted by officers making an exchange with another man in Parkfield Road, Harrow, on the evening of June 22.

Both men ran off when they saw police, and after a short chase Abdelbaki was detained by officers in a nearby alleyway

The 25 year old, of Field End Road, Ruislip , was seen by police during the pursuit throwing away multiple bags of cannabis.

He was found guilty at the Old Bailey last Thursday of possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and was sentenced that day to six months’ imprisonment.

Sergeant Darren Wiltsher, of Harrow police, said: “Drug dealing has a massive negative impact on the local community and this was a point stressed by the judge upon sentencing.

“I hope this prison sentence will act as a deterrent to others thinking of participating in the same activities; dealing cannabis is not something taken lightly by either police or the courts.”
