Driver cut free af­ter car crash

A WOMAN had to be cut from a car by fire­fight­ers af­ter be­ing in­volved in a col­li­sion in East­cote on Thurs­day morn­ing last week.

The two-car crash hap­pened at around 11.50am near the junc­tion be­tween Elm Av­enue and Field End Road.

Emer­gency ser­vices were called and a woman had to be freed from her car by London Fire Bri­gade af­ter be­com­ing trapped in her ve­hi­cle.

A Metropoli­tan Police spokesper­son said: “London Fire Bri­gade were called be­cause a woman was trapped in her ve­hi­cle.

“There were two ve­hi­cles in­volved.

“The in­juries were not be­lieved to be life threat­en­ing or life chang­ing.”

The road had been closed in both di­rec­tions fol­low­ing the crash but was re­opened to traf­fic at around 1.55pm.
