Stop running down Heathrow Boris

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION -

BORIS Johnson’s latest tirade and cheap comments about Heathrow Airport dismisses the views of many of his constituents, of which I am one, who proudly support the expansion plans. Thousands of people in Mr Johnson’s constituency work at the airport and many of us despair at his bizarre obsession with running down the area’s largest employer.

As Foreign Secretary and prominent supporter of leaving the European Union, Mr Johnson should be doing all he can to boost Britain’s role in the world.

Instead, he seems determined to block obvious trade routes by opposing growth at our largest port. BARRY NELSON-WEST Granville Rd Hilllingdon Uxbridge
