STAFF, businesses and councillors celebrated the official opening of a newly revamped Hayes hotel on Thursday October 5.

The Mayor of Hillingdon John Hensley and his wife attended the ceremony, which marked the end of several months of refurbishment and redevelopment at the Best Western Airlink, in Pump Lane.

Ishan Karu, general manager of the hotel, said: “After several months of extensive refurbishment and redevelopment, the hotel now comprises 52 high quality en suite air conditioned bedrooms, a bar and restaurant area, all of which have been substantially improved.

“Today’s event marks the start of a new era for this locally owned family business after a significant investment programme, boosting the local economy and creating additional employment opportunities.”
