MBBO REGIONAL DIVISION 1 Aylesbury 2 Eastcote 4

ACADEMY product Je Snell led the way as Eastcote bagged a second league victory of the campaign at winless Aylesbury on Saturday.

Snell wasted no time making an impression on the match, firing the Boars ahead with just two minutes on the clock and not content with that he added a second to leave the visitors in firm control at the break.

The hosts pulled one back midway through the second half, but this merely raised Eastcote from their slumbers and two quick strikes by first Mark Allison and then Ben Thorpe meant Aylesbury’s second from the last play of the game was mere consolation.

Eastcote lie seventh in the standings, but in a tight division they are just three points adrift of leaders Oxford Hawks 2 ahead of the visit of another of the early season highfliers, Wycombe to Kings College Road on Saturday.

There was no joy for the ladies this week however, as they struggled to make an impression on their clash away at league leaders Hampstead & Westminster 2s, going down 3-0.
