Have a blast at Brunel Uni this Bonfire Night

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

BRUNEL University will set West London skies alight with some stunning big-scale blasts for the finale of its 50th anniversary.

A massive community fireworks display is set for tomorrow (Thursday) at the Uxbridge University’s running track on Kingston Lane.

The party puts the lid on a year of celebrations to mark 50 years since students first set foot on campus in 1966.

Bringing extra sparkle to the mix is Brunel’s circus society, with a super array of acts and chance for guests to have a go.

Children and adults can also enjoy a giant bonfire, burgers, snacks fairground fun and inflatables.

Money from ticket sales will help six charities, most of which work in Hillingdon. They are Orchid, which fights cancer in men, FoodCycle, Childreach International, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, The Fostering Network and Cancer Research.

The gates open at 5pm and fireworks start at 5.30pm. The site, off Kingston Lane, Uxbridge has limited parking.

Advance tickets cost £4.50 for adults and £3.50 for children (three to 15).

They are available now at www.brunel.ac.uk/fireworks or the Eastern Gateway building or sports centre on the night.

Fast-track wristband entry is available for cash at the Eastern Gateway and sports centre from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. For more information, contact events@brunel.ac.uk
