Po­lice hunt man who threw bot­tle

A MAN who threw a bot­tle at a mov­ing car and smashed the wind­screen is be­ing sought by Heathrow po­lice.

Of­fi­cers are ap­peal­ing for help to iden­tify a male pas­sen­ger af­ter CCTV cap­tured the mo­ment a plas­tic bot­tle was thrown at a mini­cab driver’s ve­hi­cle on North­ern Perime­ter Road near Heathrow Air­port .

The man be­lieved to be in his 20s was sat in the front seat of the car and may have con­nec­tions to the Bed­font area in the bor­ough of Houn­slow, the Met Po­lice said.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened on Au­gust 24 this year at around 7.25am.

Thank­fully there were no in­juries, but the vic­tim’s wind­screen had to be re­placed as it had been dam­aged.

Po­lice have traced the driver of the car, also a man, in his 20s, but he claims he can­not re­call the iden­tity of the pas­sen­ger in the car with him.

The ve­hi­cle was on loan from a garage in Sur­rey and is not be­ing sought by po­lice.

The sus­pect po­lice are look­ing for has been de­scribed as a white man in his 20s, with dark hair and a beard, at the time of the in­ci­dent.

Of­fi­cers are ask­ing any­one who can iden­tify the man throw­ing the bot­tle to call Heathrow CID on 101 or call Crimes­top­pers anony­mously on 0800 555 111.
