Pavements are too bumpy for scooters

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION -

A couple of weeks ago there was a letter in your paper saying that electric scooters should not be on the road.

I am disabled and need an electric scooter. The big problem is the pavements. Many have had vehicles parked on them and causing damage. But generally all pavements are not level or a smooth ride. In my case. The bumping and rattling increases my back pain.

So I am left using the road which is much smoother and the cycle lanes which are also a better ride.

If I am forced to only use the uneven pavements I will become more housebound.
