An airtight case against the airport

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION -

CLIENT Earth has won its High Court case against the Government for its failure to control air pollution.

This is the second case the Government has lost.

Heathrow Ltd already exceeds the legal limits, this judgement has now ruled out completely the Government plans to build a third runway and increase flights by some 300,000 and road journeys by 25 million per year over a densely populated area of West London.

There are other legal cases in the pipeline including one from the Prime Minister’s own constituency of Maidenhead.

The third runway project is now dead. ROY D BARWICK Moor Lane Harmondsworth
