Curl Up & Die: New com­edy drama by Anna Lon­garetti is pre­miered in the Stu­dio. It’s blue-rinse mur­der at the last chance salon. This is one hi­lar­i­ous hair ap­point­ment that can’t be missed. Wed­nes­day Novem­ber 16 to Satur­day Novem­ber 19 Princess Ida: Ju­lian Light Op­er­atic So­ci­ety present Gil­bert and Sul­li­van’s de­light­ful piece. A fun show with full or­ches­tra and Sul­li­van’s score is ma­jes­tic. Suit­able for all ages £10 to £18, 7.45pm and Sat 2.30pm Tues­day Novem­ber 22 to Satur­day Novem­ber 26 Theatre West Four presents The Mer­chant of Venice: This pro­duc­tion ex­plores the theme of a drama of three out­siders: Shy­lock (be­cause he is a Jew), An­to­nio (be­cause he is gay) and Por­tia (be­cause she is a woman in a male dom­i­nated world). Of the three only Por­tia sur­vives un­scathed, not least be­cause by the end of the play her beloved Bas­sanio has grown up.
