Great Scott hits first goal in two years
REBECCA Scott scored a first goal in more than two years as Denham Ladies reserves beat MK Dons at The Den on Sunday.
Scott, back from long-term injury, struck in a 4-1 win for the hosts, which stretched their unbeaten run to four matches.
Elishia Allen hit a brace and Rachel Blackburn bagged her first of the season direct from a corner, while the team sported poppies and observed a two-minute Remembrance Day silence.
But the first XI’s FA Cup dreams are over after they bowed out 4-2 at AFC Wimbledon. The girls were 4-0 down before a late rally sparked by Chontele Lawrence’s double, and during which they struck the bar. More cup action awaits on Sunday when Denham take on Charlton Ladies, from the league above, in the County Cup.
There was better news for the under 13s who saw off St Albans 2-0 at The Den. Mia Almendros and Tara Jhawer scored while Isabelle Garraway took player of the match honours.
The U11 Wildcats beat Moseley Juniors 3-0 thanks to goals from Ellie Trigg and Jess Polton and an own goal from a Madison Perry shot. Ruby McCulloch was player of the match.
The U16s were edged out 2-1 at neighbours QPR. Yasmin Garcia gave Denham a half-time lead, but the hosts were the stronger after the break.
