Crow­bar-wield­ing gang of men tried to get into home

Gang smash up two cars af­ter fail­ing to get into prop­erty

A GROUP of men armed with crow­bars and base­ball bats tried to break into a prop­erty in South Ruis­lip be­fore they smashed up two cars parked out­side.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened on Thurs­day Novem­ber 10 in Por­tal Close at around 8pm.

Dur­ing their at­tempts to get into the res­i­den­tial prop­erty, be­tween four and six of­fend­ers were dis­turbed by the oc­cu­pant, at which point they dam­aged the cars parked out­side.

They then made off in a large 4x4 type ve­hi­cle to­wards Wet End Road.

DC Bar­rett with Hilling­don CID is in­ves­ti­gat­ing and is call­ing for wit­nesses to come for­ward.

Ex­tra pa­trols will be in place thanks to the South Ruis­lip Safer Neigh­bour­hoods Team who will be re­as­sur­ing res­i­dents and look­ing to iden­tify any sus­pi­cious be­hav­iour.
