Crowbar-wielding gang of men tried to get into home
Gang smash up two cars after failing to get into property
A GROUP of men armed with crowbars and baseball bats tried to break into a property in South Ruislip before they smashed up two cars parked outside.
The incident happened on Thursday November 10 in Portal Close at around 8pm.
During their attempts to get into the residential property, between four and six offenders were disturbed by the occupant, at which point they damaged the cars parked outside.
They then made off in a large 4x4 type vehicle towards Wet End Road.
DC Barrett with Hillingdon CID is investigating and is calling for witnesses to come forward.
Extra patrols will be in place thanks to the South Ruislip Safer Neighbourhoods Team who will be reassuring residents and looking to identify any suspicious behaviour.
