Eco­nom­i­cal fin­ish­ing as Smith hits seven

ADAM Smith went goal crazy as Sandgate un­der-13 Ar­rows started 2017 in style on Sun­day.

Smith hit a magnificent seven in his side’s 12-0 win over Old Ac­to­ni­ans, the other goals com­ing cour­tesy of braces for Jesse Nyarko and Daniel Okolo and a goal for Mikey Martins.

The U17s pro­duced the come­back of the day, com­ing from 3-1 down at half-time to beat Wal­ton Ca­sual Sharks 4-3. Mo­hamed Abdi, Yusuf Ali­abdi, Mo­hamad Mo­hamad and Liban Aden all got on the score­sheet.

The U10 Colts be­gan the year in im­pres­sive style too, beat­ing Houn­slow Green 4-0 thanks to a dou­ble for Halil Plisi and one apiece for Na­bil Mezali and Ra­ian Hadji. Goal­keeper Milo Stok­losa was named player of the match.

The U11s and U9s were the other two Sandgate sides to start the year with three points. The for­mer con­tin­ued their un­beaten run with a 3-1 win at Car­shal­ton Ath­letic. Sharp­shooter Jake Pick­ett bagged a brace with Hadi Noor get­ting the third. The U9s edged AFC Wal­coun­tians 2-1 thanks to goals from Jasiah Mathurin and Cris­tiano De Sousa.

For en­ter­tain­ment, the U7s were the ones to watch as they shared 12 goals with hosts Hilling­don Ab­bots. Ab­bie McKen­zie’s hat-trick played a big part in the 6-6 draw, while Luke Burns, Kane Oliver and player-ofthe-match Jack Keary were also on the mark.

The U14 Colts lost 4-3 against Cob­ham de­spite strikes from Tin­naye Chi­ram­baguhwa, Ryan Roberts and Bai­ley McGrath, while the U12s were un­lucky to be on the wrong end of a 3-1 de­feat to Esher Wizards, Pa­trick Do­herty their scorer.

A se­ries of no-shows left the U13 Blades with just a ba­sic 11 as they went down 3-0 away to Spelthorne.

The U8s were with­out a game, but re­ceived news they will play the rest of the sea­son in the high­est-stan­dard divi­sion of the Har­row Youth League.
