‘Silent majority’ for airport expansion

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION -

I AM writing to you because I object against the way Hillingdon council are using local tax payers’ money apposing the Heathrow airport expansion.

I live in West Drayton near to the proposed third runway and I believe it’s necessary for London and the UK to compete in the world market. Particularly after Brexit. How dare council leaders take it for granted?

Heathrow has provided jobs for local people for years and with the house building and growth of the local population. It will make it needed more than ever.

I believe I speak for a silent majority. They don’t speak for me or thousands of other local people. MICHAEL PLOWRIGHT Money Lane West Drayton
