ASH­WIN VON GURM’s stylish goal proved the high­light of a dis­ap­point­ing draw for MBBO league lead­ers East­cote at home to Ayles­bury on Satur­day.

Von Gurm’s drag flick from a short cor­ner grabbed a point for the Boars af­ter they had trailed 2-0 but their lead at the sum­mit over Maiden­head and Ox­ford Hawks was cut to two points with both pur­suers boast­ing a game in hand.

A dire first half saw East­cote two in ar­rears be­fore Gabriel Emery’s goal sparked the fight­back com­pleted by Von Gurm. Lee Pet­tifer’s side will hope for bet­ter in Satur­day’s clash with Wy­combe.
