NICK Hurd has been serv­ing as an MP since 2005, win­ning the 2015 elec­tion for Ruis­lip, North­wood and Pin­ner by a size­able ma­jor­ity of 20,224.

The Min­is­ter for Cli­mate Change and In­dus­try se­cured al­most three times as many votes as his clos­est ri­val in 2015, Labour's Michael Bo­rio, and is the fourth gen­er­a­tion of his fam­ily to serve as an MP in the Com­mons.

The fi­nal list of can­di­dates for the June 8 Gen­eral Elec­tion is:

Nick Hurd (Con­ser­va­tive) Re­becca Lury (Labour) Alex Cun­liffe (Lib Dems) Richard Braine (UKIP) Sarah Green (Green) The seat, and the Ruis­lip-Nor­wood con­stituency from which it was cre­ated, has al­ways been held by the Con­ser­va­tive party since 1950.
