A whirlwind journey through the latest cruise collections, from Havana to Westminster Abbey via Rio and Blenheim Palace

chanel Karl Lagerfeld chose the colourful Cuban city of Havana to show his joyously upbeat collection

No, Chanel is not about to open a flagship store in Havana. For Karl Lagerfeld, this was a cultural event in a city on the cusp

of change – one that was, before its revolution, perhaps the most glamorous in the world. The Paseo del Prado, lined

with crumbling colonnades, was his catwalk; Cuban musicians provided the

soundtrack and residents a vocally appreciative audience. The mood was

celebratory – this was a gloriously exuberant spectacle of Parisian chic and Cuban flair. Magical and memorable; a moment of fashion history.
