FOUR SEASONS HOTEL LONDON AT TEN TRINITY SQUARE
Four Seasons certainly knows how to make a grand entrance – giant neoclassical columns greet guests at the Grade II-listed building that houses its new hotel near Tower Bridge. Its previous life as the Port of London Authority headquarters, designed by Edwin Cooper, is alluded to throughout, with riverine motifs stamped on the leather headboards and fish-scale windows in the magnificent ballroom. The spacious bedrooms are swathed in fabrics in Atlantic-grey and cream, with walkthrough-wardrobes leading to bathrooms adorned with twinkling gold mosaics. Downstairs is a Roman-inspired spa and a brilliant fine-dining restaurant from Anne-Sophie Pic, the only Frenchwoman to hold three Michelin stars.
From £525 a room a night (020 3297 9200; www.fourseasons.com/tentrinity).
