Backing brave Paul Kohler

Hayes & Harlington Gazette - - YOUR SAY -

I congratulate the Gazette, for publishing Paul Kohler’s legal challenge to stop Mayor Kahn closing down police stations across London, or front desks in these mostly listed buildings.

I am so glad that Paul Kohler survived his vicious attack, and survived because his local police were able to get to him quickly. I was assaulted in 2017, (I am a 78 year old pensioner with only one arm) due to the front desk of my local police station being open and manned by volunteers, was able to finally get help.

Mayor Kahn has said that he is carrying on what Boris Johnson started, this is not entirely true, he should check his facts before virtually leaving us elderly people vulnerable unable to go about our daily lives without the knowledge that there is a police station within walking distance to help.

Please keep us informed of Paul Kohler’s challenge.

Jean McFarlane
