Please help to save the Southall cattery

-

I have read in the Hounslow Chronicle newspaper today, Wednesday July 8, that the RSPCA Southall Cattery might have to close.

This is most unwelcome news. We have adopted two cats from Southall, and are very happy with them.

The Ccattery runs a brilliant service and is always spotlessly clean. It takes in cats and kittens from a wide area and is a hub of care for cats and kittens of all kinds. Cats come to Southall from W3, W5, W7, W13 which are areas not covered by other RSPCA, Blue Cross or PDSA clinics.

The cattery generally hosts a garden party Open Day in late summer each year, a lovely event which raises funds for the cats and gives people an afternoon out, a chance to buy items for sale, and an opportunity to see some of the beautiful cats which are waiting for adoption into loving homes.

This closure must not happen. It risks depriving the community, and the cats, of a wonderful facility.

The newspaper article suggested telling people about the potential closure, writing to our MP, signing the petition against the closure on change.org and supporting our centres in every way possible, so that they stay open.

We must not lose Southall Cattery!
