‘I try hard not to plan the ses­sions be­fore­hand. It takes a few years to get good at this, but now I feel con­fi­dent that work­ing with the client, their mood and their pre­ferred work­out at that mo­ment is when I get the best re­sults. There’s no point go­ing into a ses­sion that re­quires 50 burpees if you’re hav­ing a low mo­ment and feel a lower-in­ten­sity work­out is all you can do.’
