Brad: ‘I’ll never, ever get back with Ange’
The divorce is very much still ON
It’s been one of the dirtiest divorces in showbiz history, and despite reports claiming Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were “consciously re-coupling” (eat your heart out, Chris and Gwyneth), heat’s been told that Brad will never take Ange back. Although he still loves her, he can’t move on from some of the things she’s done, and his family and friends are said to be against the idea of a reconciliation.

between them, but they’re far from back together, as reports are suggesting,” says heat’s insider. “Brad’s family and friends don’t want him to get back with her and worry about some of the things that happened between them during the split, like the allegations of child abuse (which Brad was cleared of) and the bitter custody battle. They feel he was driven to the brink by the end of the marriage, and believe he’s better off without her. Brad’s easygoing, but he doesn’t forgive easily – he knows it’s best they get on for the sake of the kids.”
Ange – who currently has full custody of Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old Knox and Vivienne – recently admitted she hated being single, and that it wasn’t her choice. However, we’re told this is just a way to get the public back on side and make Brad sound responsible for the split.
“Ange knows exactly what she’s doing by saying things like that, but Brad knows how it works,” our source adds. “He never wanted things to end, but Ange was determined, and while in an ideal world he’d like them to get back together and be with his kids every day, he knows it’s not right. He’s worried things could break down as quickly as they did last time, and he’s in a much better place now.
“Part of him will always love her, but a lot of his friends would be reluctant to accept her if they got back together. He’s overcome a lot of demons over the past year, and he knows the best thing is for the divorce to still go ahead.”
