Rita & Calvin: Back together?

They’ve gone from frosty to flirty

They had an extremely bitter fall-out after their split in 2014, with Calvin Harris even banning Rita Ora from performing the number-one hit he’d written for her. But in a shock development, heat can reveal the pair have been getting close again – and pals say things could be getting serious.

“Calvin’s always told people she’s the love of his life,” a source tells heat. “He was so wounded by his split from Taylor Swift that he didn’t date for a year, but Rita offered support and has been there for him ever since. They actually spend a lot of time together.”

The pair recently made a public declaration that they are back on track by liking each other’s Instagram posts, but it’s taken a long time for Rita and Calvin to get to this point. They dated for a year until Calvin announced their break-up on Twitter,

You Down at the Teen Choice Awards in LA, and soon after it appeared he was making digs at her when he quoted lyrics from his song Summer with a sad emoji face, writing, “You act so innocent now, but you lied so soon.”

“Rita’s always regretted that they split and says he was the one that got away,” explains the insider. “She’s been trying to make it up to him for ages and he finally let her back in.

“They started out talking and then eventually Calvin invited Rita to a big party at his place in Hollywood and all the old sparks were still there. But although they were obviously very attracted to each other, Calvin wouldn’t go there then.

“It’s taken almost a year of just being friends for something to develop. They’re taking it slow because Calvin doesn’t want to get burned by her again, so he’s playing it very cool.”
