Helen’s sneaky bump
It’ll soon be time to call the midwife
After playing a midwife for six years, Helen George might be hoping her acting skills will have rubbed off on her, as she gears up for the birth of her first child.
The 33-year-old actress shocked everyone when she turned up to the TV Choice awards last week with a huge baby bump. “Helen is about eight months pregnant and can’t wait to become a mum,”
heat’s source says. “She’s had an emotional couple of years and is now in a really happy place. Not many people knew she was expecting, so it came as a surprise when she appeared with a bump at the awards.
Helen was joined at the bash by her boyfriend and co-star Jack Ashton, who plays her ex-fiancé in Call The Midwife. The pair started dating at the start of 2016, six months after Helen’s split from ex- husband Oliver Boot, and Jack was making sure she was well looked after all night.
Call The Midwife won the award for Best Drama and Helen didn’t even seem to mind missing out on the celebratory Champagne, while Jack and the rest of her co-stars got stuck into it.
Good to have a designated driver in the group.
