They give us #couplegoals every time they leave their house, but things could’ve worked out very differently for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
They actually kissed for the first time while filming Green Lantern in 2010. Back then, Blake was dating her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley and Ryan was married to Scarlett Johansson. In fact, they didn’t get together until the end of 2011. “We were buddies, then we went on a double date. She was on a date with another guy and I was on a date with another girl,” Ryan says. “That was the most awkward night for our respective dates – probably because there were just like fireworks coming across [the table between us]. It was weird at first, but we were buddies for a long time. I think the best way to have a relationship is to start as friends.”
Blake and Ryan married in 2012 and now have daughters James, two, and 11-month-old Ines.
