THE TV SHOWS THAT CHANGED OUR WARDROBES FOREVER!

As Gossip Girls turns ten, we celebrate the most stylish series

Important news alert:

Gossip Girl recently turned ten years old (no, we can’t bloody believe it, either) and we’re still totally obsessed with Serena van der Woodsen’s outfits. The protagonist (played by Blake Lively) was single-handedly responsible for making us fall in love with boho again, and made our own wardrobes look seriously lame.

We also loved Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and her passion for hairbands and bright tights, as well as Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) in his dandy suits and cardigans – who knew we could fancy a man in a cardie? And remember Taylor Momsen, who began the show as a sweetlooking prepster and ended up dressing like a goth queen?

Those rich kids of New York’s Upper East Side really knew how to dress. Plus, it was approved by the fashion heavyweights, with guest appearances from the likes of Tory Burch, Karlie Kloss, Tyra Banks and Vera Wang. But the ultimate nod of approval? When Blake was chosen to sit next to US Vogue editor Anna Wintour at the Gucci show in 2013.

And it seems the show’s love of fashion taught Blake well, as the actress once said, “All I need is my Chanel dress, my Louboutins and some red lipstick.” Too right.

“Seriously, though, how amazing do we look?”
