RIP Kat

The feisty one’s untimely demise brings the Slaters back to Walford

-

Yes, you’ve read that right. Gobby sass queen Kathleen Moon née Slater has popped her stilettos and hung up her leopard-print coat for good.

Last seen bloody and flapping about in the sea in BBC’S aptly-titled spin-off show Redwater – Kat was in a bad way after her deranged killer son Dermott took her on the boat ride from hell (long story, Google it).

And, next week, Big Mo is back in Albert Square to drop the bombshell that Kat has in fact carked it. Stacey is naturally shocked by the news, but soon goes into Stoic Stace mode, rallying the troops to raise cash for Kat’s funeral – faaahmily is faaahmily at the end of the day. But she’s soon thrown off course when dithery Jean turns up spouting some nonsense about Kat. While Stace is quick to ignore her mum’s rantings, what’s harder to ignore is the fact that, as the locals gather at The Vic to celebrate Kat’s colourful life, none other than Kat walks in. And, spoiler alert: it’s not a ghost.
