OUR BRITS PREDICTIONS

-

BRITISH OF THE YEAR ALBUM Despite a high level of competition from the likes of George Ezra and Florence, our money’s on The 1975, whose album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships wowed critics and fans alike. BRITISH FEMALE SOLO ARTIST We reckon that one of Anne-marie’s impressive four noms could well come good in this category, because her debut album Speak Your Mind made such a huge impression when it dropped last year. BRITISH MALE SOLO ARTIST As much as Aphex Twin deserves an award for sheer sonic madness, we expect George Ezra to storm this, thanks to his stellar 2018 with the release of his second album Staying At Tamara’s. INTERNATIONAL FEMALE SOLO ARTIST We wouldn’t be surprised to see this award go to Christine And The Queens, aka Heloise Letissier, whose compellingly unique sound has gone mainstream in a big way. INTERNATIONAL MALE SOLO ARTIST Travis Scott could bag his first BRITS win this year, given the widespread love shown for his third album Astroworld, which has gained rave reviews all over the music press.
