They had so much in common: both Essex girls, both break-out Big Brother stars, both nice but you definitely wouldn’t want either on your pub quiz team. It was inevitable they’d one day end up doing a charity run together for Sport Relief.
Back in 2006, Chantelle Houghton and Jade Goody were the biggest reality stars of the moment. Chantelle was fresh out of her hilarious stint on Celeb BB – where she pretended to be a singer in fictional band Kandy Floss – and just weeks away from marrying her co-star, Preston from Ordinary Boys (which only lasted only a year). Meanwhile, Jade – who passed away in 2009 from cervical cancer – had already made a cool £8million since her own BB appearance in 2002, and had just delighted a nation by attempting to run the London marathon in April. She collapsed at mile 21, admitting her training had mostly consisted of “curry, Chinese and drinking”.
