Picture perfect Devon
River Avon Morning (main picture) won Jeremy Willocks the AONB Outstanding Photographer prize. Anna Potgieter’s Across the Valley won the youth title EXPLORER Monty Halls presented the prizes for the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Photo Competition at The Flavel in Dartmouth.
The competition, which attracted 200 entries, was part of the heritage lottery-funded What Makes South Devon Special Campaign which has been running since April. Halls said that despite his extensive travels South Devon could not be rivalled for its natural beauty, describing it as “paradise on earth”.
The AONB Outstanding Photographer award was made to Jeremy Willocks for his picture River Avon Morning.
The AONB Outstanding Young Photographer prize was awarded to Anna Potgieter for her picture Across the Valley.

Tim Lee, for Thick Fog at Start Point (The Changing Landscape)
Beth Fowles, for Mist Over the Cliffs (The Changing Landscape - under 18)
Spike Chambers, for Hidden Wreck(Into the Blue - under 18)
Ginny Campbell, for Bales at The Daymark (Green and Pleasant Land - adult)
Anna Potgieter, for A Happy Chappy (A landscape to live in - under 18)
Tim Lee, Dawn at Bayards Cove (A Landscape to Live in - adult)
The pictures will be used to promote the work of the AONB.
