River Avon Morn­ing (main pic­ture) won Jeremy Wil­locks the AONB Out­stand­ing Pho­tog­ra­pher prize. Anna Pot­gi­eter’s Across the Val­ley won the youth ti­tle EX­PLORER Monty Halls pre­sented the prizes for the South Devon Area of Out­stand­ing Nat­u­ral Beauty Photo Com­pe­ti­tion at The Flavel in Dart­mouth.

The com­pe­ti­tion, which at­tracted 200 en­tries, was part of the her­itage lot­tery-funded What Makes South Devon Spe­cial Cam­paign which has been run­ning since April. Halls said that de­spite his ex­ten­sive trav­els South Devon could not be ri­valled for its nat­u­ral beauty, de­scrib­ing it as “par­adise on earth”.

The AONB Out­stand­ing Pho­tog­ra­pher award was made to Jeremy Wil­locks for his pic­ture River Avon Morn­ing.

The AONB Out­stand­ing Young Pho­tog­ra­pher prize was awarded to Anna Pot­gi­eter for her pic­ture Across the Val­ley.

The other prize win­ners were:

Tim Lee, for Thick Fog at Start Point (The Chang­ing Land­scape)

Beth Fowles, for Mist Over the Cliffs (The Chang­ing Land­scape - un­der 18)

Spike Cham­bers, for Hid­den Wreck(Into the Blue - un­der 18)

Ginny Camp­bell, for Bales at The Day­mark (Green and Pleas­ant Land - adult)

Anna Pot­gi­eter, for A Happy Chappy (A land­scape to live in - un­der 18)

Tim Lee, Dawn at Ba­yards Cove (A Land­scape to Live in - adult)

The pic­tures will be used to pro­mote the work of the AONB.
