Royal slip­pers pro­vide link to the past

I AM hop­ing to find de­scen­dants of the Torquay shoe maker who made some silk slip­pers for Queen Vic­to­ria.

In 1833 the then Princess Vic­to­ria and her mother, the Duchess of Kent, vis­ited Torquay and the princess was pre­sented with a pair of silk slip­pers, made for her by a Mr W Lan­der, shoe maker of Mar­ket Street,
