Hinckley Times - - NEWS -

YOUNG people have enjoyed some exciting away days thanks to a donation from a community fundraising group.

Elmesthorpe Villagers and Friends Association (EVFA) hosts monthly charity fundraising nights in Elmesthorpe village hall.

One recent event raised £250 for the work of Barwell and Earl Shilton Youth Cafe.

Youth worker Chris Newlyn, who runs the youth group on behalf of Barwell Methodist Church wrote to thank the EVFA saying: “Your generous gift has been put towards our summer trips this year.

“Your support has meant that we’ve been able to subsidise a whole week of exciting activities to make them more afforable to young people who we have regular contact with in Barwell, Earl Shilton and Stoney Stanton.”

Alton Towers theme park, Adrenaline Alley and Jump Xtreme trampoline park were among the destinations on the youth group’s summer holiday list.
