Court date for hoaxer
A MAN will face charges related to a bomb hoax that caused chaos at Hinckley railway station last month.
Leon Harris, 32, of no fixed address, will appear at Leicester Crown Court on October 19.
He is charged with one count of obstructing the railway and one count of communicating false information alleging the presence of a bomb.
Harris was remanded in custody after appearing before justices at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 21, charged in connection with an incident at the train station.
Armed police evacuated a train at the station, which was temporarily closed, during the drama on Wednesday, September 20.
They swooped on the Birmingham New Street bound train shortly after 1.30pm.
