Mu­sic and com­edy of the war years to be per­formed at Bel­grade

A COM­EDY trib­ute to the songs that kept Bri­tain go­ing through the war years is be­ing per­formed in Coven­try.

Spirit Of The Blitz is com­ing to the Bel­grade Theatre, fea­tur­ing 40s hits Sit Un­der The Ap­ple Tree, Bless ‘Em All, Lean­ing On A Lam­pPost, and the fu­neral favourite, We’ll Meet Again.

Andy East­wood is among the cast, the only mu­si­cian to gain an Ox­ford de­gree play­ing the ukulele, who will be show­cas­ing his vi­olin skills.

Guest star Mar­i­lyn Hill Smith will also per­form some of the songs she has per­formed on BBC Ra­dio 2’s Fri­day Night Is Mu­sic Night.

A live band will be in ac­tion to ac­com­pany the songs.

The show is on October 13 at 1.30pm.

Tick­ets are £14, or £11.50 each for groups of 11 or more.
