Music and comedy of the war years to be performed at Belgrade
A COMEDY tribute to the songs that kept Britain going through the war years is being performed in Coventry.
Spirit Of The Blitz is coming to the Belgrade Theatre, featuring 40s hits Sit Under The Apple Tree, Bless ‘Em All, Leaning On A LampPost, and the funeral favourite, We’ll Meet Again.
Andy Eastwood is among the cast, the only musician to gain an Oxford degree playing the ukulele, who will be showcasing his violin skills.
Guest star Marilyn Hill Smith will also perform some of the songs she has performed on BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night Is Music Night.
A live band will be in action to accompany the songs.
The show is on October 13 at 1.30pm.
Tickets are £14, or £11.50 each for groups of 11 or more.
