Theft of rail­ings from skate park

ME­TAL rail­ings used by skate­board­ers in Burbage were stolen from the Britannia Road Re­cre­ation Ground.

Par­ish lead­ers dis­cov­ered the theft last Tues­day morn­ing (Novem­ber 7) and re­ported the mat­ter to po­lice.

A state­ment on the Burbage Par­ish Coun­cil web­site said:”It was dis­cov­ered that one sec­tion of rail­ings, from the skate­board plat­form area at Britannia Road Re­cre­ation Ground, has been stolen.

“The rails were cut off just above ground level and have now been made safe.

“It is be­lieved that this hap­pened be­tween 4.30pm Mon­day 6th Novem­ber and 8am on Tues­day 7th Novem­ber.

“It has been re­ported to the Po­lice.”
